The Night is a very good mini shootem game. If it moves shoot it. And if it does not move shoot it anyway! Your only weapon is a bow with an unlimited number of explosive arrows. The object of this game is to "beat the ruler of the underground..." Your on screen compass points you in the direction of your goal and the number below it indicate the distance. There are lots of enemies to shoot: zombies, skeletons, little green pesty gremlins, huge snails and of course the ruler of the underground! The game has some very cool video and sound effects but no music. There are powerups and extra lives along the way to collect. When the game is over you can enter yor name for the high score list but this information is not saved when you quit the game. There is an ini file for various settings which probably won;t be needed but is there if you want it. This is a game that should not take you more than an afternoon to complete.
Controls:
Mouse = Look
Arrow Keys Up/Down = Move Forward/Backward
Arrow Keys Left/Right = Strafe Left/Right
Left Mouse Button = Fire
Right Mouse Button = Jump
Esc = Quit Game
If you like 3D shooters: There is always something to shoot at in this game, that is until you finish it.
