The Amazing Flying Brothers are a group of trapeze artists who perform an act where they swing from pole to pole while doing flips, dives, and glides. The game was created in under a week, which is kind of depressing because I could spend an entire year developing something and it wouldnft come even close to the quality of this one.
The swinging is influenced by a nice physics engine, and the game will detect various tricks such as back flips and dives. Points are also rewarded for air time. When the player misses one of the poles, the trapeze artist simply slides across the ground to a stop and a new acrobat spawns in his place.
The graphics fit well with the rest of the game. The little trapeze artists blend well with the noir-style background. The sound effects and music are equally well-implemented.
The Amazing Flying Brothers is impressive not only because it was made in under seven days but because it is unique and fun. Expect to play this as a coffee-break game for the next few weeks; it is very addicting.
Controls:
Hold down the left mouse button while swinging downwards to go faster.
Hold down the left mouse button while swinging upwards to go slower.
Click the left mouse button to release the trapeze artist.
