A 3D remake of a tank game for 2 players only.
Combat 3D is a remake of the classic Atari 2600 game "Combat". In this game you have to try to shoot your buddy's tank before he can shoot you.
The graphics are clean. A bit too clean, using a few good textures should make this game a lot nicer. There are no graphic effect as explosions or so.
The gameplay is a bit boring because there is only one maze.
There are 7 screenmodes (2D, 3D, FPS, .. splitscreen), but some of them are completely unusable when you are playing with 2 players at the same computer and with this version there is no other option than the local 2 players!
There are 3 gamemodes. They all look the same, only the manner of shooting bullets is different.
controls:
F1 = Regular game
F2 = Bouncing bullets game
F3 = Steerable bullets game
Esc = Terminates current game
F12 = Quit game
player 1 controls:
A / D = Rotate tank
Q / E = Rotate turret
W / S = Move
X = Fire
player 2 controls (numeric keypad):
4 / 6 = Rotate tank
7 / 9 = Rotate turret
8 / 5 = Move
2 = Fire
camera controls:
1..7 = 7 camera views
Z = change view for player 1 (in split screen mode)
1 = change view for player 2 (in split screen mode)
Powerups:
T = increases Tank speed
B = increases Bullet speed
S = Shield
E = Extend bullet life and allow refire
