"Restore Desktop is a context menu addition that saves and restores icons positions on the Windows desktop. Restore Desktop restores icons position automatically during display resolution changing. Restore Desktop also allows you to restore saved icons positions manually by click on the Windows desktop." The previous was quoted from the authors readme file. Restore Desktop is indeed a handy little feature to have when playing games because some games will require changing the screen resolution but it does not always save the icons positions automatically. An icon must be fully visible in the screen for it s position to be automatically saved and then only sometimes. For example: If an icon is partway off the right edge of the screen, then its position will NOT be automatically saved and restored. However manual saving and restoring of your desktop icons positions works FLAWLESSLY. This is accesed by right-clicking on an open area in your desktop and selecting the apropriate function, "Save Desktop" or "Restore Desktop" just prior to changing screen resolutions. This little utiliy was added to caiman to supplement another tool we have made available, called "Res-o-Matic" which allows for automatic changing of screen resolutions when playing a game.
