Blast Radius is a very fine horizontal space shooter packed with lots of features. Just some of these features include: Up to three players at the same time, numerous weapons systems, custom mp3 tracks, 6 levels and a boss on each level, many different enemies, passwords to skip completed levels and it also saves high scores. There is extensive in game help with detailed graphics in the game which can also be accessed from outside of the game by clicking on help.exe.
The game, even in easy mode is still challenging and can be very fast paced at times. If you get a buddy or two to play the game with you, it may not be easier but it sure is alot more fun, since all of you have the same goals, which is to eliminate all of the enemies. Powerups are available to increase your arsenal. To do well in this game strategic use of these powerups is necessary.
Controls:
Player 1 (Joystick or keyboard)
Arrow Keys = move
Shift = shoot
Ctrl = use powerup
Player 2 (Joystick or keyboard)
E,S,D,F = move
Q = shoot
A = use powerup
Player 3 (Jogstick/gamepad)
Ctrl + Y = change controls.
Ctrl + P = pause
Arrow Keys are used for highlighting in the main menu & Enter selects.
SPACEBAR to make the text in the spacemaps screen advance.
Blast Radius is a blast to play, whether solo or with one or two of your friends.
If a 7.1 MB download is to large, then try the lite version which is 3.7 MB. The main difference is that there are fewer songs and no speech on the mapscreens.
